This cost will be applicable for 85% of wood burner installations with a standard 4.2m flue kit with an easily accessible roof but doesn't allow for extra's like offsets. Area's past Tai Tapu, Lincoln, Rolleston, West Melton, Rangiora and Pegasus may incur a travel charge. Doesn't allow for scaffold
Do you require the council consent?
Choose your Council district and type of burner to be installed
Different Councils have different fees, Some also charge extra for a insert/inbuilt fire than a freestanding as they require an extra inspection. Selwyn do inserts on a charge out basis and wont give a price
Is your property where the install going single or two storey?
Single storey price is for labor, materials and exterior bracing rods
Two storey is labor, materials, bracing rods, floor penetration kit, two extra 150 stainless flue and two extra 250mm liners. Extra parts may be needed
at extra cost
Is your ceiling flat or sloped/pitched?
Most flue kits require extra parts for sloping ceilings
Roof Type?
Different council have different requirements for some flashings. Waimakariri council
and north of require tray flashings on corrugated roofs. Ccc and Sdc will allow soaker flashings to be used.
The tray option has allowed for 3.5 meters of tray and a rubber boot
Optional
Extensions are required if the flue will need more than the standard flue kit. i.e. close the a concrete tile roof ridge. Woodsman fire will be about 1/3rd cheaper as they do not require a 200mm liner
